E-cigarettes are everywhere these days, and are often touted as a safer alternative to smoking regular cigarettes, but are they really safer?

I sat down with Dr. Timothy Daum, who specializes in pulmonary medicine at Metro Health/University of Michigan Health to get the answer.

Basically, Dr. Daum says that while they may be safer, they aren't something that you should start doing if you are not a smoker. The devices used in vaping aren't very heavily regulated, and it means that there may be things like heavy metals being inhaled in addition to the vapor.

Take a listen to the full interview with Dr. Daum above.
