Scotty McCreery is the early favorite to become this year's "American Idol." The 17-year-old country singer has impressed 32-percent of the respondents in an AccessHollywood.com poll to lead the list among this year's group of 13 finalists -- by a pretty hefty margin. Pia Toscano, who received a standing ovation for her rendition of The Pretenders' "I'll Stand By You," is in second place with 14-percent of the vote, and has a slight edge over Lauren Alaina who, at 16 years old, is one of this year's youngest contestants. Eleven-percent really like Casey Abrams, the 20-year-old musician from Illinois, and ten-percent are supporting the 22-year-old Adam Lambert-esque James Durbin.

Meanwhile, the "Idol" run for Naima Adedapo might not be very long. In a separate AccessHollywood.com poll, 24-percent are predicting that the R&B singer from Milwaukee will be the first to go. Thirteen-percent believe Ashthon Jones, who was one of the judges' picks to move into the top 13, won't make it into the top 12. The first elimination is coming up on tonight's "American Idol," airing on Fox at 8:00 p.m. Eastern.
