10 Things To Do this Weekend: July 4th-7th
It’s a weekend of Fireworks and 4th of July celebrations, but there are other things going on as well. We have a Book Sale, Baseball, Nature, Salsa Dancing, an Ice Cream Social for the Dog, Yoga AND Beer (together!), Science, Peaches, and Pinball.
Some activities include the kids, while others are more for the adults.

There are fireworks scheduled every night, from Wednesday through Saturday. Check out our list to find out just where and when you can see fireworks near you. The big fireworks show in downtown Grand Rapids is Saturday night.

They have turned the one-day sale into a 3-day event to give patrons more opportunities to find time in their busy holiday schedule. So, now you don't have to choose between that family picnic and some excellent books at bargain prices. You can have it all! Standing on 105-degree asphalt, trying to find the books you love, is not a way that most sane people like to spend their time. So, they are moving most of their books into the air conditioned Wisner Center this year to help you beat the heat. On Thursday, July 4th, it is the $10 bag sale all day; individual books still $2 for hardcover and $1 for paperback; all categories of books. On Friday, July 5th, all remaining categories; $5 bag sale.

Can you really celebrate America's birthday and NOT be at a ballpark? No, you can't! Not only will there be baseball on America's birthday, but also an exciting fireworks show immediately following the game! It will also be Thrifty Thursday with $2.00 20 oz. beers $2.00 hot dogs and $2.00 Pepsi products. It's also College Night, show your current college ID or military ID and get a reserved seat for $5. Then on Friday it’s another FANomenal Friday. This week it’s Nick Jr. night featuring Paw Patrol, with a Marshall and Rubble appearance. There will also be fireworks after Friday night’s game.

All visitors will receive FREE general admission on the first Friday of each month throughout the summer to explore all of the opportunities Blandford has to offer. Come see the wildlife, hike the trails, visit the farm and more! This is an opportunity for families and individuals to experience what Blandford Nature Center has to offer.

Priority Health is helping bring free community fitness to Grand Rapids this summer! They are a proud sponsor along with Mobile GR and Downtown Grand Rapids Inc.
