It’s the final weekend of the year 2019! There are still many Christmas themed activities. There are also a lot of things going on at the area museums. It’s also your last chance to get your FREE General Admission tickets forthe Grand Rapids Ball Drop on New Year’s Eve.

    This holiday season, visit the Grand Rapids Public Museum and take part in a variety of family friendly programs and activities themed around history, science and culture, and our special exhibits – Bodies Revealed, Design Zone & TOYS! Visitors can make their own themed snowflakes and take home ornaments, play a variety of games and more! General admission includes hands–on activities for Snowflake Break, special holiday displays and admission to Design Zone and TOYS! The Bodies Revealed exhibit will be an additional fee.

    Former Breton Village Train on Display at the Gerald R. Ford Museum

    The Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum is excited to host the train formerly at Breton Village Mall again this holiday season.  The train was acquired last year. This year they've added to the train and modified it to fit in their feature exhibit space. Members of the Grand River Valley Railroad Club operate the train while it is on display.

    Bodies Revealed

    After nearly a decade, Bodies Revealed has returned to the Grand Rapids Public Museum. This exhibition features real, whole and partial body specimens that have been preserved through an innovative process, giving visitors the opportunity to view the complexity of their own organs and systems like never before. Bodies Revealed allows people to learn about their own bodies and, ultimately, teach how to take better care of one’s own health and make positive lifestyle choices. In this phenomenal exhibition about the amazing and complex machine we call the human body, 10 full body human specimens and hundreds of organs are respectfully displayed to tell the story of the miraculous systems at work within each of us. With a reverent, academic approach, this display allows people of all ages to more closely observe the skeletal, muscular, nervous, digestive, respiratory, reproductive and circulatory systems, and to absorb information normally reserved only for medical professionals.

    Load up the car and hit the roads. There are many people who have decorated their homes to the max! The website Grand Rapids Kids has put together a list of locations to go check out the lights.
