West Michigan teams brought home three football state championships this weekend. West Catholic, Zeeland West and Muskegon Catholic Central are all state champs!

Muskegon Catholic Central

Muskegon Catholic Central opened state championship weekend at Ford Field on Friday with a 7-0 win over Waterford Our Lady to take home the Division 8 crown!

The game was scoreless until the fourth quarter when Christian Martinez scored on an 8 yard run for the game's only score.

Lowell

Lowell lost a heartbreaker on Friday to Detroit Martin Luther King, 40-38. Detroit MLK won the Division 2 championship with a 40 yard touchdown pass as time expired.

Zeeland West

Friday's last championship game featured Zeeland West continuing their dominate season with a 40-14 victory over Flint Powers Catholic to win the Division 4 championship. Zeeland West finishes the season 14-0.

West Catholic

Saturday's Division 5 championship game included over 900 total yards. 466 for River Rouge and 463 for West Catholic. The game was not decided until River Rouge's onside kick was recovered by West Catholic with 4 seconds left. West Catholic won 40-34 and takes home their third straight Division 5 title.
