Part Of Our Childhood Disappears – Drop-Side Rail Cribs Banned
They have been around since we were kids. All of us raised our own children with these as well. Today, a ban on the manufacture and sale of drop-side rail cribs goes into effect.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission ordered the ban last year after it was determined the cribs played a role in dozens of infant deaths over the past decade. Hotels, motels and day care centers are being allowed to use the drop-side rail cribs until December 2012.
