There are a couple of reasons to wear red this weekend...Pulaski Days and the Red Flannel Festival. It’s also the final Friday for the Food Trucks at Riverside Park. There’s theater, comedy, a chance to run on the runway at the airport, a Donut Fest, small trees and flowers, a Pumpkin Train, and an event for you and the dog.

Meijer and Consumer's Energy will be handing out bottled water, bags of ice, and ice cream to those without power at the American Legion Cedar Springs Post on Monday, July 22 from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m.

The Kent County Sheriff's Department is asking for the public's help to identify suspects who may be responsible for a string of thefts and vandalism in the Cedar Springs area over the weekend. Among recent incidents, parts of a monument honoring a fallen soldier were stolen from Memorial Park.

On June 2, 89-year-old Erwin Empie took the stage with 300 Cedar Springs students and officially graduated high school, WZZM-13 reports. 71 years prior, Empie had dropped out of Cedar Springs High School during his sophomore year to enlist in the Navy during World War II.

On Saturday, March 19, state and federal regulators, and law enforcement agencies conducted a gas pump blitz across Michigan to look for credit card skimmers. Three were found, including one in Cedar Springs.
