Grand Rapids beer lovers are about to get another option in town...Bell's Brewery.
We Michiganders know that we have some amazing breweries right here in the Mitten State. Heck, everyone in West Michigan knows that we have the best breweries, hands down (suck it, Asheville). And now, USA Today has bestowed us with another title, honoring our awesome beer.
Grand Rapids is Beer City USA!
It's a title we share with Asheville, North Carolina...although we all know who the REAL Beer City USA is.
Voting for the 2013 Beer City USA title begins May 6.
Asheville is aiming for the title with a new video.
Oberon is back!
The popular seasonal beer from Kalamazoo's Bell's Brewery was released at 12:00am today.
Is it your favorite summer drink?
It's GR Beer Week!
Time to celebrate with a cold drink.
Which Grand Rapids brewery is your favorite?
I can't believe it, but St. Patrick's Day is almost here, just four weeks away.
It's always an excuse for everyone to become Irish, turn green, and partly hardy!
A popular beer brewed right here in Grand Rapids is going away for a while.
Beer lovers are going to miss it.
Grand Rapids has been honored by people literally around the world as a true "Beer Destination." With Founders Brewery attracting folks from far and wide, Grand Rapids Brewing Co. opening, and other craft beer makers brewing some fabulous beers locally, Grand Rapids seemingly is the spot to be for beer lovers.
But, what about wine? I love a good glass of wine. Wine has been left behind, at least in the publicity department. There are a lot of wine drinkers out there. Most everyone drinks wine, at some time or other. Wine shops abound, most restaurants have good wine lists, but it's kind of quite. We love it...we just don't advertise it.
Grand Rapids has built a reputation for being a great place to enjoy a local beer.
That reputation continues to grow as a national beer conference will bring 3,500 beer lovers and brewers to Grand Rapids.
With the warm weather we've had lately, there has really been a feeling of summer in the air.
One of the true signs of Spring & Summer in West Michigan is.....drum roll, please.....the release of Bell's Oberon for the season.
The Grand Rapids Brewing Company, the oldest brewing name in Grand Rapids, has an official home, and it's downtown.
This is classic. You have to see this Police car dash-cam video.
Okay, so the guy does have about $1,000 dollars worth of booze...and those are shopping carts he's strung together with his best 100 foot extension cord
