The X-Factor premieres September 21st, tonight, on FOX. What else is on TV that I usually watch.  I have no idea because I don't care.  All I want to see is Simon Cowell!  Simon, I have missed you so much.  Wednesday night will be our time together, okay?  I know I'm not the only girl in America who feels this way.

Scotty McCreery Wins American Idol

After a record-setting 122.4 million votes, it was country crooner Scotty McCreery who was named the winner of 'American Idol' season 10.

The 17-year-old from Garner, NC, beat out 16-year-old Lauren Alaina to become the youngest 'American Idol' winner ever. He's also the fourth-consecutive male to win the reality-competition series, following David Cook, Kris Allen and Lee DeWyze. (The last female to win 'American Idol' was Jordin Sparks, in 2007.)

Grand Rapids Picks Idol Winner

Now that Dancing With The Stars is over, what about American Idol.

There appears to be no real "favorite" as this season of "American Idol" comes to a close. An AccessHollywood.com poll shows Scotty McCreery has the edge over Lauren Alaina, but he's getting the nod by a very slight margin

American Idol Boots Haley Reinhart

Though she put on an impeccable show Wednesday night, America ultimately decided they didn't want to see Haley Reinhart in the next week's finals.

The 20-year-old Wheeling, IL, native was booted from 'American Idol' late Thursday night, leaving Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina to battle it out for the season 10 crown.

And Then There Were 3 on American Idol

'American Idol' season 10 is officially down to the final three. Over 72 million votes were cast this week, making it the highest top-four vote ever in the history of the show.

Unfortunately, even record-breaking numbers weren't enough to save James Durbin. The 22-year-old rocker was sent packing Thursday night, marking yet another surprise in an already surprise-heavy season.

One down and three more to go on American Idol

'American Idol' is down to the final four!

Last night's elimination show started off quickly, with the remaining five contestants performing 'So Happy Together.' After the mandatory Ford commercial, judge Jennifer Lopez took to the stage to sing her hit single 'On the Floor,' before contestants were quickly divided into two groups, where Jacob Lusk and Lauren Alaina found themselves in the bottom two.

American Idol fans axe one of the best. What’s up?

And then there were five.

Ryan Seacrest told us at the top of the show that we would be disappointed with the outcome of tonight's results - and he wasn't wrong: In somewhat of a shocker, Casey Abrams was eliminated from 'American Idol.'

Of course, the elimination wasn't totally surprising, as Casey was actually eliminated on a previous episode. (He was then saved by the judges.) Even so, it didn't feel like it was his time to go, especially after his crowd-pleasing performance on Wednesday. Then again, it's a talented group of six, so tonight's results were guaranteed to have at least some shock value.

Another American Idol hopeful falls

On Wednesday night, Jennifer Lopez said, "It's getting down to the wire and it's time to bring out the big guns." That statement will become more relevant as each week goes by.

We're now down to the top 6, as 'American Idol's' wild card pick, Stefano Langone -- who made it very far in the competition after nearly being eliminated a handful of times -- was eliminated from competition on Thursday.

It was another jam-packed elimination show, as we got to see the contestants go to an L.A. Dodgers game, have some fun at bowling, get the full spa treatment and lasso some clouds. And if that wasn't enough, we also saw performances from 'Idol' season 7 winner David Cook and superstars Katy Perry and Kanye West.

American Idol says goodbye to Paul McDonald

J. Lo said it best when she said, "You gotta stop singing to stay; you gotta start singing to win."

It was a good piece of advice, but unfortunately for Paul McDonald, it came a little too late: Paul's quirky style and unique soft voice have been eliminated from 'American Idol,' according to PopCrush. There's a lot of talent on the show this year, so as the weeks go by, main contenders will have to be cast off the show. That's life on 'American Idol.'
