I've always said that dogs are far more loyal than most people, and I think that this story proves my point perfectly. I mean, how many people do you know that would run almost 1,200 miles with you while you biked across China? The story started out simply enough, a Chinese man named Zhang Heng and some of his friends decided that they were going to bike from the city of Kangding in the Sichuan province to Lhasa, Tibet to celebrate their recent college graduation. (Which makes perfect sense, since that's what college degrees are best used for, right?)

As they were biking through the city to start their journey, they happened upon a stray dog on the side of the road, and one of the cyclists stopped and fed him a drumstick and checked to make sure that he was ok. Well, apparently the little dog (who they named Xiao Sa or “Little Sa”) was quite appreciative. So much so that she decided to join them on their journey, which took nearly a month.

Check out this news report chronically the journey (with bonus adorable puppy footage).
