Detroit Lions Set and Break Consecutive Noise Level Records

During the Wild Card round the crowd at Ford Field set a new indoor stadium crowd noise level. The cheering reached 133.6 decibels - besting the previous indoor stadium record which was held by fans at the University of Kansas. set during a basketball game.

During the Divisional Round game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Ford Field crowd set a new record for a second straight week. It's reported by WXYZ/Detroit's Brad Galli that the crowd hit a new eardrum-shattering mark of 134.3 dB.

Detroit Lions Break Decades-Old TV Viewship Record

It wasn't just the crowd at Ford Field that couldn't get enough of the Lions. TV viewership for the game, slated in the Sunday afternoon window, was also record-setting. Despite the game being blacked out in much of Western Michigan for an agonizing period of time for Lions fans, TV viewership nationwide hit a viewership level unseen by NBC Sports for decades.
