Warmer weather has returned to West Michigan, and that means the return of drive-in movies! Muskegon's Getty Drive-In is set to open for the season this Friday, April 14, 2017 at 8 p.m.

The Getty, owned by Celebration! Cinema, is one of only nine drive-in theaters remaining in Michigan.

The opening weekend lineup is solid, too.

  • Fate of the Furious (PG-13) with Split (PG-13)
  • Beauty and the Beast (PG) with Rogue One (PG-13)
  • Ghost in the Shell (PG-13) with xXx: Return of Xander Cage (PG-13)
  • Kong: Skull Island (PG-13) with CHiPs (R)

This summer adults prices are $10.50, kids 6-12 are $5.50, kids 5 and under are free. Tuesday bargain: adults $7, kids 6-12 are $5.

The drive-in is open seven days a week, with gates opening nightly at 8 p.m. and movies beginning roughly 20 minutes after sunset.

While the theater does have concessions, patrons are allowed to bring in their own food. Another upside, you don't necessarily have to stay at the same screen for both shows.
