Just read a study earlier this week about the "tipping point" for financial happiness.

Last year, Princeton said that benchmark was $75,000; they said that above that amount, people reach a plateau and additional money has no bearing on their level of happiness.

Now, a poll done by Marist (PDF file) says that $50,000 is the "tipping point" in happiness and satisfaction with life. They found that families with total incomes of less than $50K have a generally negative view of their future.

Conversely, those with a total household income over $50K say they have a better quality of life in almost every category.

Where are you at financially right now?  What's YOUR happiness threshold?  Would a total household income of $50K be the place?  Would $75K be better?  Tell me what you think.
