It's hard to believe, but Holland's Tulip Time Festival is just around the corner.

Tulip Time Festival coordinators have announced their grand marshals for the parades during next month's festival, and this year's list includes many Michiganders' favorite Detroit Lions player in recent years.

Jodi Syens will be grand marshal of the Volksparade on May 7. Syens retired last year as director of Holland's parks, recreation and transportation department. She worked for the city of Holland for 37 years.

The Kinderparade on May 8 will be led by Gary Feenstra and Glenn Vos. Feenstra is the former superintendent of Zeeland Public Schools, and Vos is the former superintendent of Holland Christian Schools.

The Muziekparade on May 10 will see former Detroit Lions' kicker Jason Hanson as the grand marshal. Hanson spent 21 seasons with the Lions before retiring last year.

This year's Tulip Time Festival runs from May 3-10 in Holland.
