Magpie first came to Crash's Landing last month.

The volunteers at Crash's Landing love her company, but they would love nothing more than to see her find a new home.

Can you adopt Magpie?

Crash's Landing is a non-profit, no-kill cat rescue center.  Since opening in Grand Rapids in 2002, Crash's Landing has helped more than 2,500 cats. But there is still work to be done.

Every Friday on 100.5 The River is "Purrrfect Friday," where we feature a cat from Crash's Landing that needs a home. This week, we're spotlighting Magpie.

Magpie was seen running around Cherry Hill in Grand Rapids for weeks. She was initially thought to be the cat of a neighbor, but once Grand Rapids resident Laura G. got a closer look at Magpie, she knew something was wrong.

On September 3, Laura caught Magpie then brought her to Crash's Landing the next day.

Crash's Landing took a look at Magpie and went to work. They discovered Magpie was blind. She had a badly damaged leg and she weighed only 4.1 pounds. Crash's Landing has treated her and given her the care she needs.

There's no doubt Magpie is tough. At just 3 years old she is ready for a long, happy life.
