GVSU Football Opens Season Ranked #2 in National Poll

Another strong season is expected for GVSU Football.

The Sporting News and USA Today rank Grand Valley as the second best team in the country.

Lindy's College Football Preview ranks GVSU at number four.

Last year, GVSU finished with a 12-3 record after advancing to the NCAA Division II semifinals for the eighth time since 2001. GVSU also has four Nationals Championships and six title game appearances since 2001.

Expectations are high, but it won't be easy.

Grand Valley is the only Division II team this season that has five opponents that won eight or more games in 2013. Some of those opponents are also nationally ranked.
