Grand Rapids Children’s Museum presents "Kids’ ArtFest: A Birthday Celebration" during Art Prize!

It's a free event that will feature open-ended art and play experiences for kids, to celebrate GRCM's 15th birthday.

Kids' ArtFest will take place Sunday, September 30, from 12n-5p on Sheldon Avenue NE in front of the Children’s Museum and in Veteran’s Park across the street.

There will be 14 art pods, each with a mini birthday party theme.  Using their imagination, kids can explore mud clay with dinosaurs, build crazy architectural structures, create their own cool pirate accessories, craft the most awesome birthday party hat, or try their hand at many other fine art activities. Play pods will encourage creative play.

Performers will provide continuous entertainment during the day, including hula hooping, ballet folklorico, percussion and drumming and high energy dancing on the main stage. Street performers will dazzle the mind with juggling and magic.

Community involvement is available through corporate sponsorships and volunteer opportunities.  Volunteers must be 16 years or older and complete a volunteer application by September 14.
