What could have been a let-down, turned into a rout for the Fenville Basketball team, who rolled over Bangor 79-50 to advance to Friday's District Final.  It's been a emotional rollercoaster for the Blackhawks after the death of teammate Wes Leonard last week.  The Blackhawks won its district opener Monday and Leonard's funeral was Tuesday."I don’t know if I’m surprised, because I know they’re capable of it. But I’m kind of just shocked that they could do it," Fennville coach Ryan Klingler said. "It just gives me a good feeling. Me and my wife (an assistant coach on the team) can talk at night about how amazing they are.

"They’ve got the capabilities. They’ve proven it throughout the year. How they’ve played, it just kind of makes you feel good."

The team says it is playing for Wes and to win!  Junior Xavier Grigg, who took Wes's place in the line-up, has scored 43 points in the last two games.

"Wes would fight through anything just to play," Grigg said. "Now, we’ve just got to bring home a championship for him Friday. It should be fun."
