Confirming what we all already know, finance website Wallethub has named Detroit the No. 1 Best City for Hockey Fans in 2016.

To determine the ranking, Wallethub compared 72 of the most populated U.S. cities across two divisions: NHL (Div. I Men’s) and College Hockey (Div. I Men’s).

The cities were rated on 17 key metrics like ticket prices, stadium capacity, and the performance level of each city’s teams.

No surprise: Hockeytown USA, home to the Detroit Red Wings took home the top spot!

As the Detroit Free Press points out, the Red Wings have won Four Stanley Cups since 1997, and even though it's been eight years since the last Cup win, the Wings have consistently made the playoffs for 25 years.

Three other Michigan cities broke the top 30 too, due to high ranking College Hockey scores. Ann Arbor came in at No. 23, Houghton 25, and Big Rapids 26.
