ArtPrize Looking For Groups To Volunteer Together

ArtPrize is just a couple of months away.  The competition begins September 19 and runs through October 7, but ArtPrize couldn't happen without the help of hundreds of volunteers.

ArtPrize in now recruiting groups to volunteer together.

Schedule is very flexible for group volunteering.

Shifts are:

• Noon - 3:00pm, Sunday - Saturday
• 3:00pm - 6:00pm, Sunday - Saturday
• 6:00pm - 8:00pm, Monday - Thursday
• 6:00pm - 10:00pm, Friday - Saturday

Just two hours can make a big difference.  Or try talking your boss into letting everyone out early one day for some co-worker bonding and pick up a 3:00pm - 6:00pm shift.

Group volunteers will be "Wayfinders".  Wayfinders are the volunteers you see all over the city who answer questions and provide direction during ArtPrize.

I've volunteered with ArtPrize in the past and I can tell you it is a TON of fun!  If you are an ArtPrize fan, volunteering will give you a whole new perspective.  You'll learn about the artists, learn about the art, and meet lots of people.

Organizing a group to volunteer for ArtPrize is a fun way to see art, spend time in the great city of Grand Rapids, give back to the community, and spend time with your friends or co-workers.

SOUND LIKE FUN? PLEASE DESIGNATE A POINT PERSON FROM YOUR GROUP WHO WILL FOLLOW THESE SIMPLE STEPS.

1. Choose a day and time that works for your group (minimum 10 people), check out the Wayfinding schedule.
2. Send us the names and email addresses of every committed volunteer from your group by emailing us at volunteer@artprize.org.
3. You are all set - the only thing left to do is attend Volunteer Training - come together for more group fun!

We take care of the rest.

• For each volunteer we will create a volunteer account and assign the shift you have chosen. Everyone will automatically get a username and password for their volunteer account.
• Working as Wayfinders, we place you at posts in the ArtPrize neighborhoods in groups of 2-3, YOUR group will cover a single ArtPrize neighborhood!
• Deadline for group sign up is August 10th.
• Reminder: all volunteers must be 16 or older!
