ArtPrize artist Mher Khachatryan has displayed work in galleries in Armenia and the United States. His ArtPrize entry "Dedicated to the victims of 1915 Genocide" aims to raise awareness of the over 1.5 million Armenians who died.

Khachatryan's piece is based on the memory of his great-grandfather. The work uses oil and molding paste on canvas. It is 10 feet long and is accompanied by a video.

Khachatryan says, "The message is to make sure things don't repeat." He also says it is his duty as an artist to talk about this.

"Dedicated to the victims of 1915 Genocide" is at Boardwalk Condos for ArtPrize Seven.
