ArtPrize 2014 features 174 venues. Many are well-known and visited by thousands during ArtPrize.

Some other venues don't see as much traffic, but are still worth a visit.

Sin Republic Salon & Spa is one of those venues.

Sin Republic is at the far north end of ArtPrize's boundaries at 1140 Monroe Ave NW, just south of Leonard. It's worth the trip for ArtPrize fans.

Sin Republic says they were looking for artists who can "create modern and abstract pieces of any medium that plays along the theme of 7 deadly sins and 7 heavenly virtues."

That influence is easily found in the 12 pieces displayed at the salon.

David Van Ness' (Arizona) "Glitched Deer Skull" began with a 3D scan of a deer skull. The scan was then edited and rebuilt to help create the final product.
