ArtPrize 2014: Living Statue Robert Shangle Plays Chess [Video]

Sparta resident Robert Shangle is competing at ArtPrize for the fifth time this year. His human statue entries are always popular with the public.

Shangle's entry "Your Move?" is ranked in the Top 5 in the Time-Based category.

Shangle finished in the Top 10 in 2011 with "Under Construction". That entry also featured his son Jasper.

Shangle's ArtPrize entries draw crowds and criticism. Some question whether Shangle's entries are art, but most find the entries entertaining.

This year's entry, "Your Move?" is another solo living statue piece. Shangle plays the part of a man sitting alone in his room contemplating his next move in a game of chess.
