Nigella needs someone with time and patience to help her reach her potential.

Please adopt Nigella!

Crash's Landing is a non-profit, no-kill cat rescue center.  Since opening in Grand Rapids in 2002, Crash's Landing has helped more than 2,500 cats. But there is still work to be done.

Each Friday on 100.5 The River is Purrrfect Friday, where we feature a cat from Crash's Landing that needs a home.

This week, we're spotlighting Nigella.

In July of 2016, Crash's Landing received an email about Nigella. She had been hanging around and basically living on someone's porch for about six weeks. Nigella was scared at first, but over time she became very friendly. Within a few weeks Crash's Landing had room for her and welcomed Nigella to the shelter.

Nigella was born in the summer of 2013. When she first arrived at Crash's Landing she wasn’t eating or grooming herself well because she had two bad teeth that needed to be extracted and she was losing weight from chronic diarrhea. Crash's Landing treated her and she is very healthy today.

Nigella loves people, but is terrified of everything else. Once you get her out of her hiding spot she becomes very affectionate. Nigella needs a very quiet, stable home environment to flourish. Can you help?
