A series of health problems has done nothing to slow down Chanel or her spirits.

Come into Crash's Landing to meet this tough and friendly girl, today!

Crash's Landing is a non-profit, no-kill cat rescue center.  Since opening in Grand Rapids in 2002, Crash's Landing has helped more than 2,500 cats. But there is still work to be done.

Each Friday on 100.5 The River is Purrrfect Friday, where we feature a cat from Crash's Landing that needs a home.

This week, we're spotlighting Chanel.

Chanel was found in poor health last month by someone from Belding. After checking locally and not finding help, they contacted Crash's Landing. Crash's Landing took her in.

Chanel had a wounded neck. It was a lesion known as an eosinophilic granuloma which was healing poorly. They treated it topically as well as systemically with antibiotics. They also discovered a small upper lip ulcer, which can be common for this type of inflammatory condition, but a few weeks later she developed another one. Chanel had what is commonly called rodent ulcers. She was treated with injectable steroids.

Through it all Chanel remained positive. She enjoys the company of both humans and other cats. She is tough, yet friendly, and would love to meet you!
