As Grand Rapids is covered with beautiful art, consider bringing this beauty into your home.

Meet Ash from Crash's Landing.

Crash's Landing is a non-profit, no-kill cat rescue center.  Since opening in Grand Rapids in 2002, Crash's Landing has helped more than 2,500 cats. But there is still work to be done.

Every Friday on 100.5 The River is Purrrfect Friday, where we feature a cat from Crash's Landing that needs a home.

This week, we're spotlighting Ash.

In August, Crash's Landing received a call after a stray cat, who had been getting fed by a friendly neighbor for about a month, showed up one day with a bloody wound on his head.

Crash's Landing immediately took in the cat and named him Ash.

Ash's wound was treated and he also received needed care for internal parasites (giardia) and fleas.

It took Ash a little while to adjust, but today he is very comfortable in his surroundings.

Crash's Landing will miss him, but they'd love to find him a permanent home. Ash will be a great addition to anyone looking for an attentive and affectionate cat.

Please adopt Ash!
