ArtPrize has announced some changes to its 2014 critical discourse programming Monday morning.

The art competition's organizers are calling the seven days of discussion an "event within an event."

The newly-expanded discourse sessions are to bring together experts from a number of different fields, including art, design, innovation, urbanism, social equity and technology.

Each one will take place in a newly revamped ArtPrize HUB, which is to be set up like a television studio space, complete with a studio audience.

There, the experts will discuss art and why it matters with debates, panel discussions, and asking for public opinion.

The programs begin after the announcement of the Juried Short List on Sept. 29. All start at 7 p.m. and are free to the public.

ArtPrize runs Sept. 24 to Oct. 12.
