Most of us could use some more exercise.

It's rare that you can still say that after running in a race, but after Saturday's .1K race, you can.

Sometimes a decimal point makes all of the difference.  Move it to the right a couple of spots and you've got yourself a 10K.

That's real work.  100 meters seems a little more manageable.  Especially when it's all for a good cause and involves a refreshing beverage that's nothing like Gatorade.

WZZM has more on the .1K race:

It's not often a race begins and ends with beer, but that was the case Saturday in downtown Grand Rapids.

The "Race to End Duchenne" brought 1,200 people to the Grand Rapids Brewing Company for a .1K. Organizers say they wanted to create a fun way to raise money for a serious disease.

Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy is a progressive disorder that affects muscle growth in young boys. One in 3,500 boys born today are affected.

Organizers hoped to raise 25,000 dollars at Saturday's event.

Great job to all who came out to help raise money!
