The Michigan Department of Natural Resources is asking for your help in tracking wolves in the Lower Peninsula.  Starting tomorrow, February 19th, they are asking you to report any sightings of Gray Wolves in the Lower Peninsula.

The DNR is asking you to keep your eyes peeled and report any sightings or wolf tracks until March 15th, when the survey concludes.

Gray Wolves pretty much completely left all of Michigan, but in the 1990s, they began to return to the Upper Peninsula.  And now some of the wolves have crossed the Straits of Mackinac and are making homes in the Lower Peninsula.  Awesome!

So because of the migration, the DNR wants to find out what areas they are in and where they are migrating to.

To report a track or sighting call the DNR at (989) 785-4251 ext 5233 or go online to Michigan.gov/EyesInTheField.
