On Friday, August 22, the YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids will host a back-to-school event at the David D. Hunting YMCA from 6:00 - 8:00pm.

The plans for a new YMCA in Cascade has been approved.

On Monday night, the Cascade Township Planning Commission gave initial approval to plans for a new YMCA.

The Cascade Township Planning Commission will discuss a new YMCA being proposed for the corner of Kraft and Burton at tonight's meeting.

The 44th running of "Run Thru the Rapids" is tomorrow, Saturday, October 19th.  It is a 5K/10K run and 5K walk to benefit the YMCA Camp Manitou-lin scholarship fund which helps send children to summer camp and reduces tuition costs for all young campers.

This Wednesday is National Walking Day, and the YMCA is celebrating. The downtown David D. Hunting Y is having a free event  from 5:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m.

Y Camp Manitou-Lin is a branch of the Grand Rapids YMCA, but it has no boundaries. It serves children in all of our communities. Each year for the past 74 years the Y Service Club holds its annual White Elephant Sale. The proceeds of the sale, which usually well exceed $50,000, support important capital improvements at camp.

This Friday night Rockford is the place to be.  You can have lots of fun and be helping kids at the same time. It's the annual Wolverine World Wide Family Y Auction with a live auction as well as silent auction items at the Wolverine Worldwide, Inc. Headquarters Banquet Room, located at 9341 Courtland Drive in Rockford.
