Pure Michigan's latest campaign involves a lip dub created by Rob Bliss and Jeff Barrett of Status Creative.  Bliss and Barrett traveled across Michigan visiting 50 cities in 10 days, including Grand Rapids. The lip dub will debut September 9.

Last weekend, there was an alligator near Kalamazoo.  A few of months ago, there was an iguana in Grand Rapids. Now a jellyfish in Greenville? Yes.  But this is different.  The alligator and iguana were lost or abandoned, the jellyfish were in their natural habitat. The jellyfish in Greenville were rare, freshwater jellyfish!

The kids are back at school bringing with them lots of supplies:  pencils, folders, calculators, backpacks, shoes, clothes, etc.  Sales and coupons are nice, but it only helps so much at back to school time. Last week I wrote a blog regarding the West Nile Virus, and the seemingly epidemic proportion of it around the country, especially in Dallas, Texas.  At that time, we had 24 confirmed cases in Michigan and we were being cautioned to take care.  There were 5 Kent County cases.  Well today, it's much worse.
