This might not be the last time we get a peek of Michigan from Grand Rapids native Christina Koch. She is just 1.5 months into an 11-month stay on the International Space Station.
Astronaut Scott Kelly tweeted a friendly hello to residents of Detroit from 249 miles up in space Wednesday.
Kelly snapped a photo of the city, the Detroit River, Windsor and part of Belle Isle from the International Space Station and shared it via Twitter along with his greeting "#Detroit. Pleased to make your acquaintance. #YearInSpace."
This is really a neat video because we always have a lot of questions regarding space.....living in space. You know, not questions about performing the work-tasks the astronauts have to do, but questions about normal human needs...personal hygiene.
