Opening weekend features some big local rivalries.

The Michigan high school state finals for boys and girls cross country and boys soccer took place over the weekend. South Christian, Forest Hills Central and Rockford all brought home state titles!

South Christian beat Lansing Sexton for the Division 4 football state championship at Ford Field today, 28-27.

This weekend, Michigan high school football teams and their supportive communities will travel to Ford Field in Detroit for eight championship games. We have the full schedule, plus all of the ticket, parking and other information you need to enjoy the games.

South Christian High School and Edwardsburg were set to play their Division 4 semifinal football game at Vicksburg on Saturday, November 22, at 1:00pm. The game location and time have been moved due to weather conditions.

South Christian brought a 26-0 record into the state championship game. They ended the season one game shy of perfection.

Day 1 of the Michigan high school football championships featured four games and three West Michigan teams. One of those West Michigan teams brought home a championship trophy!

It was another successful weekend for West Michigan high school sports! Multiple state championships came home as the 2013 spring high school sports season wrapped up.

It was a big day for West Michigan high school football! Both Grand Rapids South Christian and Muskegon played in championship games at Ford Field. South Christian beat Detroit Country Day to take the Division 4 title!  Muskegon came up short losing to Birmingham Brother Rice in Division 2.

West Michigan schools' successful run through the Michigan High School Football Playoffs continued in the semifinals over the weekend. West Michigan will have representatives in four of eight state championship games over Thanksgiving weekend!
