Three high-school bands from West Michigan captured state titles at Saturday's Michigan Competing Band Association state finals at Ford Field.

Two High School State Championships Come to West Michigan

After 19 students tested positive over the last few weeks and now over 400 students are asked to quarantine, the school district will go to virtual learning until October 23rd.

They went to Indy for the 2018 Bands of America National Championship and came back ranked 14th in the nation. Great job!

Grand Valley State University has announced a new partnership with Rockford High School which allows Rockford High School students to take college courses in GVSU's Allied Health Science bachelor's degree program in Rockford.

Out of about 200 applicants, Rockford was one of ten marching bands that were chosen to represent their respective states in the parade.

UPDATE 2:40 p.m. : According to Rockford High School's website, students will remain in the gymnasium for the remainder of the afternoon. The Michigan State Police canine unit is doing a thorough search of the school. Rockford High School was put on "shelter-in-place" for a short time Tuesday afternoon due to a bomb threat. Superintendent Mike Shibler told the folks at WZZM-13 that the school received a call shortly before noon saying there was a bomb in the building. The caller then hung up.
