More than 1,000 high school students from 41 Michigan teams will compete in a robotics tournament at Grand Valley State University today through Saturday.
More than 800 middle and high school VEX Robotics students from across Michigan will compete on Saturday, December 5 at Grandville High School at the largest VEX qualifying tournament in Michigan.
Robotics teams from Allendale, Grand Rapids and Grandville will join 10 other middle and high school robotics teams from Michigan and travel to Des Moines, Iowa, to compete in a regional robotics challenge.
The event is co-sponsored by the DTE Energy Foundation and 11 energy companies.
Tomorrow, January 5th, will be an exciting day for nearly 550 high school students and parents as they'll be at Grand Valley State University, downtown, for the "For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology" (FIRST) Robotics Competition kick-off event.
