It’s another weekend of a wide variety of activities in west Michigan. From music to ice cream and chocolate! Then there’s Pet Pictures with Santa, a Hipster Santa, a Whoville 5K, Records and CDs, a book signing, belly dancing, and a tuba concert!

The lineup for the 39th annual MATRIX:MIDLAND Festival at Midland Center for the Arts has been announced. Performers include Mitch Albom and Kristin Chenoweth.

Mitch Albom's play 'Ernie', which is based on the life of Ernie Harwell, will make its West Michigan debut this September. The play will open on September 12 at Wealthy Theatre. Opening day performances will include special appearances by nine former Detroit Tigers.  We have the names of those players.

Baseball and theatre fans will come together as 'Ernie', the play based on the life of Ernie Harwell, makes its West Michigan debut in Grand Rapids. The play will also help to raise funds for Hospice of Michigan's Open Access program.
