Presley Hudson, a senior who led the Wayland Union High School girls' basketball team to conference and district titles this season, has been named Meijer-97.9 WGRD High School Athlete of the Week.

Morgan Korf, a junior who led the Rockford-Sparta high school gymnastics team to the MHSAA Division 1 state championship before capturing an all-around individual state title last week, has been named Meijer-97.9 WGRD High School Athlete of the Week.

Lowell High School wrestlers Josh Colegrove, Zeth Dean and Lucas Hall, who led the Red Arrows to their second consecutive MHSAA Division 2 state title in addition to capturing individual state titles, are co-winners of the Meijer-97.9 WGRD High School Athlete of the Week honor.

Tyra Williams, who captains Union High School's girls' basketball team, is this week's Meijer-97.9 WGRD High School Athlete of the Week.

Lauren DeHaan, who captains Lowell High School's gymnastics team, is this week's Meijer-97.9 WGRD High School Athlete of the Week.

Brent Kimbrel, who captains the unbeaten East Kentwood High School boys' basketball team, is this week's Meijer-97.9 WGRD High School Athlete of the Week.

The Michigan High School Athletic Association has selected 14 student-athletes from Class A member schools to receive scholarships through its Scholar-Athlete Award program. Recipients include students from Grandville, Holland, West Ottawa and Forest Hills Central high schools.

Mitchell Parsons, who captains eighth-ranked Grandville High School's hockey team, is this week's Meijer-97.9 WGRD High School Athlete of the Week.

Rockford High School's boys' cross country team, which captured the Michigan School Athletic Association Division 1 Lower Peninsula state title, is this week's Meijer-97.9 WGRD High School Athlete of the Week honoree.

Cedar Springs High School's girls' cross country No. 1 runner Kenzie Weiler, the defending Division 2 state champion, is this week's Meijer-97.9 WGRD High School Athlete of the Week.

The pairings were announced Sunday for the 2014 Michigan High School Athletic Association football playoffs.
