For the past several years, CBS has been airing The Grammy Nominations Concert Live!, a special revealing the Grammy Awards' nominations in the top categories, interspersed with live performances. This year, however, the network is changing things up with a Christmas special featuring Grammy artists and nominations instead.

Tony Bennett's and Lady Gaga's duet album, "Cheek To Cheek," debuted at no. 1 this week on the Billboard 200 album chart. The album also hit No. 1 on the jazz and traditional album charts. Released Sept. 23 on Streamline/Columbia/Interscope Records, "Cheek To Cheek" features classic jazz standards sung by Gaga and Bennett in vocal duets and solo performances.

The new year in Grand Rapids will really be kicked off in grand style at St. Cecilia Music Center.  Their Jazz Series on January 23, 2014 begins the season with a unique gathering of three musicians with Grand Rapids roots who have made it big in the international jazz world.

It's never too late to think about good Jazz.  And, even thought it's months away, some good Jazz will be here again during the GRandJazzFest, August 17 and 18, downtown at Rosa Parks Circle.

‘The Breakfast Club’ princess Claire Standish may be a snob, but she’s not without her talents.  After all, she can sing! Molly Ringwald, who, of course, played Claire in The Breakfast Club, has a new jazz album, and she tackles ‘Don’t You (Forget About Me),’ originally recorded by Simple Minds in 1985 for the cult-classic coming-of-age movie.

For 130 years St. Cecilia Music Center has been known by audiences and artists alike as one of the finest establishments to hear and see world-renowned musicians. The building at the corner of Ransom and Fulton Streets, built in 1894, has been in continuous operation as a music center since that time. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The St. Cecilia Music Center is becoming the place to be...the "hot-bed" of music in Grand Rapids.  St. Cecilia began their new campaign “NYC2GR” depicting top-notch New York City caliber performances and St. Cecilia Music Center’s new partnership with the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center in New York, and now, they keep amazing us with the caliber of their jazz series.
