Rosa Parks Circle is preparing to open for another season of ice skating in Grand Rapids!

Last week, conditions on Lake Michigan were perfect for West Michigan Speedskating Club member April Chernoby to put on her skates, start up her camera and take a spin around the lake. A video she shared on YouTube shows just how smooth the surface of Lake Michigan was.

There are only four more days of scheduled ice skating on Rosa Parks Circle for the season. The rink in the middle of downtown Grand Rapids will shut down for the season at 9:45 p.m. Sunday, March 8.

Ice skating at Rosa Parks Circle is always a big part of winter fun in downtown Grand Rapids. Rosa Parks Circle is set to open to ice skaters for the season on Friday, December 5 at noon.
