Senior healthcare provider Holland Home has been awarded a $300,000 grant to expand its dementia training program. The grant will help to provide online training and other educational tools.

ArtPrize today announced a brand new grant program for 2016. ArtPrize Featured Public Projects will grant $55,000 directly to artists, ranging from $10,000 to $15,000 per project. The grants will be given to artists for entries at four ArtPrize venues: Vandenberg (Calder) Plaza, Ah-Nab-Awen Park, Grand River and Gillett Bridge.

The City of Wyoming is seeking help to obtain up to $300,000 in grant funds for Ideal Park's reconstruction from the damaged caused by the tornado in 2014.

Last week, the Michigan Department of Community Health (MDCH) announced the recipients of Michigan’s Health Innovation Grant. This is the second year that Michigan has awarded the grants which are meant to improve the delivery of health services in Michigan. The 44 one-time projects will each receive up to $35,000 in funding.

The Michigan Department of Natural Resources today announced that grants totaling $90,132 for urban forestry projects statewide will be awarded to 21 recipients in 16 counties including the cities of Holland and Big Rapids.

The Michigan Department of Natural Resources and DTE Energy Foundation have awarded grants worth over $75,000 to 28 communities in Michigan. The City of Kentwood was among those awarded money to plant trees.
