This weekend is full of Halloween themed activities...from ghost tours to spooky car washes. There is also music, comedy, lights, and a parade.

Imagine hearing that music played by a string quartet, by candlelight, in a church that is over 150 years old. You'll have that opportunity at the end of the month.

It’s another weekend of a wide variety of activities in west Michigan. From music to ice cream and chocolate! Then there’s Pet Pictures with Santa, a Hipster Santa, a Whoville 5K, Records and CDs, a book signing, belly dancing, and a tuba concert!

It's the second straight year the artist has brought a memorable piece to ArtPrize. Last year, it was video/sculpture called "Object-Orientalis" at the Fed Galleries at KCAD.

A paper crown-capped world record was part of the agenda at the Gilda's LaughFest Community Kickoff. While the world mark set last July didn't tumble, the throngs at Fountain Street Church in Grand Rapids more than made up for it in spirit, energy, effusiveness and antics Thursday night.

Gilda’s LaughFest is relocating its LaughFest Community Kickoff for the 10-day festival on Thursday night to Fountain Street Church because of weather concerns, festival officials announced.
