As the holiday season winds down, the goats at Blaszak Centennial Farm in Alpine Township have a unique way of celebrating: by feasting on discarded Christmas trees.
The Christmas season brings holiday festivities, gifts, food and decorations so it makes sense that we want to start getting into this joyous time of year as soon as possible. But, if you're one for waiting until after you clear the turkey from the table to get ready for the holidays, you may be on to something. Like saving yourself some money and getting the best looking Christmas tree on the block.
They're a nostalgic piece of the holidays, born in the Midwest. Now, aluminum trees and their color wheels are seeing a resurgence, but it'll cost you.
The magic of the holidays is coming to the Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park with their annual “Christmas and Holiday Traditions Around the World” exhibition. It begins November 24 through January 3, 2016. Visitors from all over the nation visit Meijer Gardens to experience over 40 international trees and displays, the enchanting Railway Garden and the holiday wonderland.
Hope you and the family had a Merry Christmas!
Too soon, January will be here, we'll be breaking new years resolutions and again having to work a whole five days in a row! That means you'll soon be taking down decorations and will need need a place for the Christmas tree.
