Make a Spring Break Date With Butterflies at Meijer Gardens

We have winter activities...and we are looking forward to spring and summer. From a Cardboard Bobsled Derby to the West Michigan Home and Garden Show -- there is something for everyone this weekend. We have indoor and outdoor events -- from cold to warm.

The Butterflies are coming in just 4-weeks.

Meijer Gardens has a lot of Spring Break fun for families.

It's cottages, basketball, prom dresses, maple syrup, Easter egg hunts (for kids and dogs), records & CDs, bunnies, bands, and fowling...all wrapped up into one weekend!

This weekend we have beer, green eggs and ham, pretzels, reptiles, single people, hockey, running and walking, concerts and everything you need for the home and garden. Whew! That’s a lot of choices!!

Can you belive 7,000 tropical butterflies will be flying about at Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park beginning tomorrow, March 1? How exciting that they're baaaack!

Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park’s annual Butterflies Are Blooming exhibition opens March 1 and runs through April 30. Butterflies Are Blooming will mark 20 years by bringing more than 7,000 tropical butterflies to West Michigan. More than 170,000 people visit the exhibit each year, Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park officials said.

What a fun night it was tonight at Fredrik Meijer Gardens.  Tuesday, kicked off the beginning of the Butterflies Are Blooming exhibit that will continue through April 30th.  Tonight was a "members only" evening of entertainment, food, drink, fun and Butterflies...
