Michigan AG Investigating Robocalls With False Voter Information

Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel is investigating a robocall that is spreading false information about mail in voting.

According to an article by ABC 57, a Detroit resident was left a voicemail in the form of an automated recording that was discouraging mail in voting.  The message that was left claimed to be from a civil rights organization and falsely claimed that when you vote by mail you will be targeted for old warrants, debts, and mandatory vaccines.

The Michigan Secretary of State tells anyone who receives one of these calls to "please contact the Michigan Department of State's Bureau of Elections to report it. Call 517-335-3234, email Elections@Michigan.gov or send a private message to one of our official social media accounts."
