The Toy Shelf Bids Farewell After 15 Years in Grandville
After 15 wonderful years in Rivertown Crossings Mall, The Toy Shelf has announced its closure, marking the end of an era for Grandville and the surrounding communities.
Known for its vibrant and curated selection of toys and a welcoming atmosphere, The Toy Shelf has been a beloved spot for Grand Rapids-area families seeking fun, laughter, and making cherished memories.
In a heartfelt message shared on Facebook, the owners, Shirley and Erika, expressed gratitude to their loyal customers:
“Thank you, Grandville & surrounding areas. Your patronage has been such a blessing to us. We’ve loved every year of providing you and your children an exciting place to shop for fun.”
The decision to close The Toy Shelf was not easy, but it was made with family in mind.
“We want to spend more time as a family outside of the work environment,” they shared, highlighting their desire to prioritize quality time together.
Before you shed tears that you missed grabbing the last few toys, there is a chance for you to shop at The Toy Shelf one last time.
The Toy Shelf has invited the community to take advantage of their closing sale, which began Tuesday, January 14th. All items will be marked 20% off, with select items discounted by 50%.
Grand Rapids shoppers are encouraged to stop by for great deals and to say goodbye before the store officially closes. Customers are also reminded to redeem any unused gift cards during this time.
Over the years, The Toy Shelf has been more than a store—it has been a space for connection, joy, and watching children grow. While its doors will soon close, the memories it created will live on in the hearts of those it served.
Grandville and the Grand Rapids community bids farewell to The Toy Shelf, wishing its owners all the best in their next chapter.
