Discovering more abandoned buildings and structures always seems to fascinate us.

We know there are plenty of them in Detroit, with a good number of them corporate towers, company buildings, numerous stories high. Then there are the ones that are hidden down a forgotten street in a deserted neighborhood...some of these could have been saloons, small cafe's, or even a corner grocery store.

The little abandoned buildings seen in the gallery below have so far remained anonymous, until someone can identify them. One is a corner building, shaped like a slice of pie (or pizza, as the camera man says), then there's a gutted one, followed by a rectangular structure.

As we take a look inside, our imaginations try to concoct what they once were. One thing that came to my mind was a possible dance hall on the top floor. Sure, one might say they were warehouses, but that's too easy...many old business buildings that were shut down ended up turning into warehouses or storage spaces. But what were these buildings originally?

There must be someone out there who knows. In the meantime, take a look at the photos and see if you can decipher what they once were...two (and one more) little deserted buildings that sit in a row down one of Detroit's desolate neighborhoods...
