Thanksgiving, we prepare for our family traditions and the gathering of family members we haven’t seen in a while.

It’s a day to get together to catch up and participate in a number of traditions, many of which include watching the Detroit Lions play their Thanksgiving Day game at Ford Field.

Now, if you’re single, I can understand how you can make this game every year and not piss off the entire family. But let’s say you are a husband with a wife and kids, and your wife is busy preparing Thanksgiving appetizers and dinner, how do you manage to convince her to let you go without ending up in the doghouse?

It turns out the majority of wives would have a serious problem with their husbands going to the game without tagging along. However, there are some women, many of whom expect to go right along with them, otherwise they said they wouldn’t have them home then there are others who live a serious, blasphemous life where they don’t watch any sports in the house, and even made a pact that there would be no sports in their house when they got married.

I’m curious to see what you would do if your husband said that they were going to the Thanksgiving football game without you. Leave a comment on our Facebook post.

Detroit Lions Thanksgiving Day Game From 1999

The Lions were then led by Bobby Ross and saw scoring touchdowns by Germane Crowell in the first quarter, then Greg Hill and Johnny Morton in the second quarter, which would prove to be enough by the end of the 4th. The game was a sell-out of 77,905, which is not unusual for these games.
