At the unfortunate time of her death, Christine Castiglione was a 19-year-old Michigan woman, who lived in Redford.

Below is a photo of Christine.

Christine was last seen in March of 1983. She had been walking home from a friends house on 5-Mile in Redford the last time she had been seen. Her boyfriend was on his way to pick her up, and had seen here on 5-mile road, but by the time he had caught up to where she last was, she was gone.

40 Years Later - The Case Is Solved

The case went dry, as officers at the time interviewed multiple suspects with no leads. That is until 40 years later when the Livingston County Sheriffs Office recieved a grant fund to conduct advanced DNA testing on the suspects DNA samples taken from the crime scene back in the 80's.

After three confirmed familial DNA tests, all evidence pointed back to Charles David Shaw, who had been identified as the murderer.
