This is Every Road Repair Planned in Michigan Through the Remainder of the 2020 Decade
The 1920s were America's Roaring '20s. The 2020s in Michigan may well be remembered at the Detouring '20s. With much of the decade under the governorship of Gretchen Whitmer who campaigned famously on the slogan to 'fix the damn roads,' should it come as any surprise that there are more major roadway construction plans to close out the final half of the 2020 decade.
The Michigan Department of Transportation has laid out the goals. They were spotted and shared to the Michigan forum on Reddit.
It's called the 5 Year Transportation Program and is a draft on the priority work the state plans on critical roads and highways.

Of the remaining years of the decade, the state plans to spend $15.3 billion. That will purchase about 100 new bridges each year, and 537 miles of roadway.
The plan also includes introducing electric vehicle infrastructure and non-roadway transportation like rail, public transit and ports.
The state is soliciting comments on all aspects of the 5 year transportation plan and the window is open until September 3 of 2024.
A map shows every planned project with a dot. Clicking on the dot pulls up the specifics about that plan as well as a link to submit comments.
Comments are also accepted via a general form and over email and traditional mail.
