
A rookie, a breakout catcher, and a star outfielder: Meet the Tigers’ 2026 All-Stars
The 2026 Detroit Tigers season has been a rollercoaster so far.

The Detroit Tigers' current record is 40 wins and 50 losses.
At one point the red-hot tigers went cold and lost seven series in a row putting the team at the bottom of the AL Central Division.
Some of the team's struggles are due to injuries.

On the pitching side of things, Reese Olson was lost for the season to shoulder surgery and Justin Verlander has been sidelined on the 60-day injured list with hip and hamstring issues.
On the offensive side, the Tigers have lost Javier Báez to a severe ankle sprain, Parker Meadows to arm surgery, and Wenceel Pérez to the IL.
Despite all of these struggles and setbacks, three Detroit Tigers have been named to the 2026 All-Star Roster.
Three Detroit Tigers Named To 2026 All-Star Line Up
The three Detroit Tigers that are heading to Philadelphia for this years All-Star Game on July 14th are Riley Greene, Dillon Dingler, Kevin McGonigle.

Riley Greene has been named an All-Star selection for the 3rd time in his career.

Dillon Dingler will be making his very first All-Star appearance. He's the first Tigers catcher to head to the All-Star game since Alex Avila did back in 2011.

Detroit Tigers rookie Kevin McGonigle is going to his first All-Star game. He’s one of just four rookies to be named to the All-Star roster.

I love that these three talented Tigers are being recognized as some of the best in baseball.
I hope that they can return from the All-Star break and have a great second half so the Tigers can make it to the playoffs for the third year in a row.
